Reel Rebel Films LLC is an independent film production company founded by Nigerian-American filmmaker Okirike I. Okirike with a mission to create bold, compelling motion pictures that entertain audiences while expanding opportunities for voices and perspectives that have historically been underrepresented on screen.
Built on the belief that powerful storytelling does not require permission, Reel Rebel Films approaches filmmaking with an independent spirit and a commitment to creative excellence. From development and production through the finished film, our goal is simple: to produce world-class motion pictures with authentic characters, strong performances, and stories capable of connecting with audiences everywhere.
Our Founder
Okirike I. Okirike is a Nigerian-born, Atlanta-based writer, director, producer, actor, and multidisciplinary creative. Raised in Savannah, Georgia, Okirike developed a passion for storytelling and the arts at an early age before ultimately pursuing filmmaking.
Largely self-taught, he initially entered the industry as an actor before recognizing the importance of creating his own opportunities—and opportunities for others. That philosophy became part of the foundation for Reel Rebel Films: instead of waiting for doors to open, build new doors.
As a filmmaker, Okirike has worked across writing, directing, producing, and casting. His credits include writing, producing and directing the 2022 feature Out on a Lim, as well as writing and directing the 2025 thriller Deadly Attraction and directing the 2026 thriller Vanished. His company Reel Rebel Films is the production company behind all three films.
Our Films
OUT ON A LIM
Reel Rebel Films’ early feature work includes Out on a Lim, a 2022 action-crime drama written by Okirike I. Okirike and co-directed by Okirike and Darryl Christmas. The film follows former high-school football star Limmie and his friend Gunny as they confront the consequences of choices made while struggling to find a path forward.
The film brought together a cast that included Zephaniah Terry, Jamal Woolard, Tray Chaney, and others. Woolard portrays Gunny, while Chaney appears as Nephew.
DEADLY ATTRACTION
Written and directed by Okirike I. Okirike, Deadly Attraction is a 2025 thriller centered on a woman whose relationship with a seemingly charming younger man becomes increasingly dangerous when she attempts to walk away.
The ensemble features Monyetta Shaw, Tray Chaney, Whitney Code and others.
VANISHED
Reel Rebel Films continued expanding its body of work with Vanished, a 2026 thriller directed by Okirike I. Okirike and written by Audra Nicole. The story follows a driven young woman whose discovery of a corpse and a criminal network sends her seemingly ideal life spiraling into a world of deception, betrayal, and murder.
The film features an ensemble led by Shaquita Smith, Oshea Russell, Erica Pinkett, Nadia Adelay, and others. Vanished was released in the United States on January 28, 2026.

At the same time, we refuse to allow the label “independent” to define the limits of our ambition. Our vision is to combine the freedom, authenticity, and resourcefulness of independent filmmaking with the storytelling, performances, production value, and commercial potential expected of world-class motion pictures.
We create stories rooted in authentic experiences but designed to travel beyond them—films that can entertain audiences across cultures, communities, and platforms.
